Spare Change of Clothes

It’s always a good idea to pack an extra set of clothes for your child just in case! Accidents happen, and daycare providers aren’t miracle workers, unfortunately. Make sure that the spare change you decide on is age-appropriate and weather appropriate. Depending on the child, it might also be a good idea to pack two pairs of clothes. Be sure to put your child’s name on everything you bring to daycare! If you have any questions about what clothes to bring, contact us.

Medication

If your child needs medication during daycare hours, it’s important to let your daycare provider know. Make sure you discuss dosage, administration, and storage with the daycare provider beforehand. You should also include any instructions for administering the medication in case of emergencies. We will ask about your child’s health information and allergies in the enrollment process, and we’re happy to talk with you about our process for caring for children who need medications and our emergency health procedures.

Sunscreen & Hat

It gets hot here in Clarksville! If you plan on bringing your child to daycare during the summer months, it’s essential to protect them from the sun. Send sunscreen, hats, and other weather-appropriate clothing with your child to daycare in order to make sure they’re safe while they play outdoors.

Lovies

It’s okay to send a special lovey with your daycare provider. This can be anything from a stuffed animal or blanket your child loves, to a favorite book or toy. It’s helpful for daycare providers to have something that will help soothe and comfort the children if they get homesick. Just be sure to send something that isn’t one-of-a-kind, as things can get misplaced or damaged at daycare.
